AMAZON RETAIL
Hello, Amazon Sellers. I have a serious problem that damages my business for years, so I am asking for an advice, maybe someone has managed to solve the frustrating matter called “Amazon Retail”.
My business is relatively small, so I need to make only the best decisions in order to make profit, I sell my professional MMA clothes on FBA via big parent listings. This way is discoverable for the customers, so my products are really seen. But Amazon Retail constantly messes up with my parent listings. Almost every day a couple of the products are out of my listings and are displayed in Retail variations that I never created. These listings are undeletable, I can’t do anything – no deleting, no adding, often even I can’t change the vital information in them. The only way how to be rid of them – asking the Support to separate all the child ASINs from the incorrect variations, so I can add them again in the proper ones. I am using several marketplaces, and this happens all the time in every freaking marketplace. Doing the listings from the scratch demands indescribable patience, for example the last marketplace I did was Mexico, and 250 (out of 300!!) of my products from one listing were placed in more than 20 different retail variations. This is insanely long process. Support Center isn’t supportive at all, I always get the first message that they can’t grant my request because the ASINs are owned my Amazon Retail. Then starts the correspondence, I try to reach someone from the Brand Registry, they investigate the case (sometimes for days), and then I get the results. Not every time, so I once again open the case and continue this routine. Sometimes I get the reply that all the ASINs are stand-alone, but checking upon them after 48 hours, they are still connected.
It is very time-consuming, and considering how many products and marketplaces I have…this means that every day I am solving these Retail problems. Of course my business suffers, of course I don’t have many time left for advertising, FBA analytical work, brand promotion, customer engagement etc. Because while I have incorrect and invalid listings, and my products are separated, they are invisible for potential clients.
I read that Retail listings are made on Vendor Central, I don’t have an account there, so I can’t really go there and separate incorrect parent variations, so this isn’t a right solution for me. I don’t understand this thing, why the sellers are forced to incur losses due to this Amazon Retail policy? Why someone decides how to combine MY products, making the parent variations without my consent? How to get rid of this Retail Amazon invasiveness? Amazon Retail always states that this is the best for my business, but I only see the damages when my products are sold in Amazon Retail listings. Because there are no sales, and no discoverability of the products. Maybe someone has some tips how to avoid Amazon Retail listings, selling globally? Because if the things go the same way, I will be forced to shut down my business that I cherished and invested in for so many years.
Thank you in advance.
