"but I, the manufacturer, can't sell it."

Are you in Brand Registry? If not, did some other seller back in ancient times (when BR didn't care about things like legal ownership of a brand) register your brand and hijack ownership that way?

In most places, exhaust cutouts are not street legal. Texas law, for example, requires vehicles to have a muffler in good working order that prevents excessive or unusual noise, and prohibits the use of muffler cutouts, bypasses, or similar devices, according to the Texas Transportation Code. Modifications that increase noise beyond what the original muffler produced are also prohibited.

Hello @Seller_xTdwnoBjezTSY,

Thanks for posting here. I've reviewed the details of this issue. As stated in case 17527149191, the product has been identified as an automotive defeat device. These products violate Title II of the Clean Air Act. Amazon policy prohibits the sale of products that violate the Clean Air Act, including products intended to defeat, bypass or shut down emission control devices.

There may be other listings on Amazon that have not been reported yet, as our systems are constantly being updated to detect illegal products, but some may slip through temporarily. Sometimes, our systems may not have complete or accurate product information, making it difficult to determine if a product is restricted. It’s important to note that even if a product is listed, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s permitted. We encourage sellers to:

If you come across a product you believe violates our policies, you can report it for further investigation.

Regards,

- Manny
