Photographs with White Background
Amazon are suppressing my items as they do not have pictures with white backgrounds, but they are inconsistent with this. Most of my products are clear or white so how the hell do you show them with a white background. Amazon sure do make it difficult to trade on their site. What do you think

In the Start box of your computer, type: Paint.
Open Paint. Open your picture in Paint.
Pull on the right side + bottom side of your picture, only a tiny bit: this creates 2 tiny margins.
(This is pure white, as white as can be - whiter than on any picture you take yourself, which may have reflections).
Home -> Select -> Rectangular selection: drag your cursor around these margins (1 at a time), release and copy,
then paste.
There you have your 4 pure white tiny margins.
Click: Paste From -> Import your picture again over it, reposition it between the 4 margins.
Works for me, and doesn’t take much time when you’re used to it (still a stupid nuisance!), though there might be a quicker way to do it that I don’t know yet (anyone?)

Hi,
You have to use a white background software in order to have images that comply with AMZ’s policy. We can recommend you one, which is free of charge and available to everyone: Bonanza Background Burner (available on Windows)

I don’t see how any of the replies deal with the fact that the products are white and won’t show up well on a white background.

Hi
Check the RGB is 255. To do this is select the background using the colour picker tool and then colour.
Or use the quick selection tool and select inverse colour the background in white.
or Quick selection tool and copy onto a new background above 1000 mega pixels.
Also if you have the Amazon app the white background is automatically done for you. Never used it but have been made aware of it.
Other option is to purchase a simplified version of adobe elements around £50.00 from Amazon. There are lots of other apps out there but I found Adobe Elements easy to use.
There are lots of videos on youtube which are very helpful.

If you just want to get a totally white border then do what Third_Time_A_Charm has said. but you just need to do all margins and save - no need to copy again and then save. I also use a program called inPixio Photo - far easier to use than photoshop for editing my photos. Also use a smart photo box.
