That’s an incredibly dishonest system built into Amazon. Even if you follow all the correct procedures, the support team will simply fob you off. Another issue is actually getting a response from them. We had two cases, and only after HALF A YEAR did we receive a reply from your internal team, saying there was no signature and no compensation — despite the fact that there was a photo of the customer holding the parcel outside his front door, which clearly matches the address on Google Maps. It’s an absolute disgrace, Amazon!

If tracking is used by the bank sand seen as evidence and only needing a signature for orders over £100 why isn't this good enough for Amazon. Clearly banks are more pragmatic.
Even when deliveries are signed for if the name on the envelope is different from the signature Amazon rule against sellers. Often other members of the household who sign for the delivery but may have different names is not uncommon. Add to that the fraudulent buyers who sign with an obvious fictitious name are not held to account by Amazon.
Underpin this with delivery images, independent GPS and street side images would weed out serial offenders.
To take a lead from the banks would in some way cut out some of the idiotic decisions made for INR and AZ claims.

hahaha..
Amazon is the biggest scam and fraud of this century..
All sellers deserve this.. thousands sellers were destroyed by amazon and thousands will be if sellers will continue to sell on amazon

This didn't work for us. Showed amazon the tracking number, provided proof from Royal Mail that it was delivered including the GPS, showed the messages from the buyer.
Amazon still refunded the buyer in full and our account was classed as At Risk.
It has been our experience that amazon automatically sides with the customer no matter what proof you show that it has been delivered.

The policy states "Keep a record of the date the order was shipped, the shipping method used, and any available tracking information for at least six months after the order date."
When we use Buy Shipping tracking detils are deleted just weeks after shipping. So perhaps you can advise how we can do this? Likewise the address is "trimmed" so we cannot verify the address sent to when Buy Shipping is used.
It is impossible to comply, and Amazon know this.

wow, so for prevention you suggest:
- take photos of all items before shipping
- reply to customer messages in 2 hours
honestly how much time do you think we have? this is fine if we sell maybe 10 items a week, but if we sell decent volumes there is no way we can do this.
I have an idea, how about Amazon look at tracking themselves, you have access to the same data we have. If tracking shows delivery then maybe Amazon sides with the seller for a change? You then either push back on the customer, or if you feel the customer is being honest then refund yourselves out of your 18% margin you make on the products. That feels a fair approach.
I know. its probably a crazy idea, but who knows it could work and help grow the Amazon marketplace ecosystem...

Hello Joey,
Perhaps you would be kind enough to provide a list of carriers that offer a signature service?
GPS, photograph of person accepting delivery, name of person receiving, how's this?
What kind of service do Amazon offer sellers? Do they offer a signature service?
Thanks.
