Closing B2B FBA Offers

Hi all, hope all is fine! I was wondering if there is any way to close FBA offers to B2B customers. I am asking because we are UK-based VAT-exempt (due to being under the threshold) company who cannot use Amazon automated receipt service. This means that we either manually upload the receipts and credit notes or use a third party service to this end.

Thanks!

Surely the simple answer is to consult an accountant who is fully up to speed and conversant with your sort of scenario.

I would say a warehouse that you pay someone to go to once a fortnight does not mean you have a foothold in the UK.

It is simply a property to receive goods, the people actually running the day to day of the business are presumably situated outside the UK (like you)

If it was me, I’d be phoning the HMRC and asking them, especially if you’ve asked two accountants and got conflicting information, the only people who can correctly tell you how the HMRC view you are HMRC.

Hi, Seller Support advised me of a way to close offers to B2B customers. I never tried it and instead just opted in to automated receipts - previously I was doing manual uploads

By the way, I cannot move on without saying that if you are to assume me as NETP and not having any UK establishment despite the UK-registered limited company that is able to receive business supplies, well then Amazon should not have let me place my goods in their fulfillment centers in the first place. Right? To my understanding Amazon does not let any foreigners to store goods in their FCs unless they have a valid VAT number on file that is a must for storing goods in the UK. Likewise, our sales should have triggered VOEC and Amazon should have collected VAT on our sales. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

You are not VAT exempt at all.
You simply do not HAVE TO register for VAT

Therefore, if you are not VAT registered, you cannot CHARGE VAT, but may obviously pay VAT.

Amazon receipt service is available for sellers who are not VAT registered.

Using the term VAT Exempt just confuses the matter even though you are exempt from registering due to being below compulsory VAT registration turnover threshold.
