Prices are Inclusive -Exclusive of VAT
Hello,
On my dashboard I have a tab ; Prices are Inclusive - [Exclusive] of VAT .( it is clickable)
My first question ; what it is for ?
it is for adding VAT price to sale price ?
for instance if my sale price is 50 euro and if I select exclusive of VAT.
the buyer will see 50 euro + % 20 vat price on the buyers page ?
I am totally confused .

The buyer will always see a vat inclusive price
That option is just for you just incase you work in vat exc. Prices

It is literally just for display on the back end. It has zero effect on your prices etc. It only there if YOU prefer to see inc or ex vat prices. Nothing more.

I’m also slightly confused by this. I’m not VAT registered and only sell on the UK Amazon site. If someone in Ireland buys one of our products that is on the UK site who pays the VAT?
It looks to me like Amazon is taking the VAT out of the list price. So if we sell a badge for £3.00 it looks to me that they are taking 50p off us to pay for the VAT. Surely they should be charging the buyer the VAT rather than the seller (so the buyer should be paying the £3.00 plus the VAT)
Anyone got any ideas on this?

eBay are doing it properly.
They remove the VAT amount based on the rate you have set then add on the VAT for the destination country
So if you are not VAT registered or the item is zero rated, then the price you list at is the amount you get (excluding fees).
If you are VAT registered, then when you export, UK VAT is not applicable, so when VAT is removed you get what you would if item was sold to a UK buyer.
eBay announced how it will work some time ago - Amazon have left us in the dark and we have all made assumptions. All Amazon say is that the price the customer sees is the price they should pay - but they could easily make programming changes so that this happens properly - especially when listing on UK site for international delivery.
I stopped all international sales on Amazon just before Brexit knowing the problems it would cause. I was hoping come 1st July, Amazon would have made the necessary changes - but no. I wont be enabling them until they program the system to work like it does on ebay.
