Cannot log onton amazon due to having to cancel my Debit card

I thought I was going to be scammed as I had a suspect phone call on Monday so I called my bank and they cancelled my card having checked to make sure I hadn’t been scammed and assured me that my account was now safe.
This morning I had an email from amazon telling me they had cancelled my payment. I tried to log on and couldn’t without updating my credit card. I clicked onto the page thinking I might be able to contact them to say what had happened. There was no means to contact them. I also noticed that the address amazon have on record for me it totally incorrect.
There is an order waiting to be processed which I cannot do. I have no means of contacting them so in effect I am banned for about a week until my new card arrived.
Has anyone else had this experience or any idea what to do about it.

In the meantime, put your listings on holiday settings to avoid any further sales.

Try phoning Amazon on: 0208 636 9200 or 0207 084 7911 or 0843 504 7194 and ask to be transferred to Seller Support

We had a thread anout a similar problem not too long ago - found it-

If you have another card (credit card) try adding that through your buyer account

Without a valid credit/debit card on file, then your disbursements will fail as they do a small test charge to your registered card before disbursing your funds and likely why you are in this situation.

If your address has changed, have you checked your bank account details are still correct and have not been changed?

That was what I tried to do, I cannot access my account at all. each time I try to log in I’m directed to update my card. I had another bank account until quite recently but closed it. I cannot believe that they can just cut you off from all contact like that. I tried to click on the link on the order email and go no where. Thank you for the phone numbers I’ll try calling them and the link.

I can understand them cancelling my payment. My address has not changed since I started selling on amazon in 2009. I tried the link that Mrs. Ples gave me and was immediately directed to updating my card. Being blocked from amazon is less stressful than the thought that my bank account had been scammed so I’ll just have to wait but it is very unsatisfactory that their is no way of contacting them. I will try the phone numbers next.

I found this out the hard way - having zilch n my bank account and needing my disbursement quickly - the payment was held - I got money into my account but could not disburse for 24 hours.

I had no idea amazon test you card every time they disburse.

This has only just happened to me with my biggest pay at the end of Xmas season. My Credit Card details were stolen and as as a precaution I cancelled two other cards. I had a right panic when I realised that the payment will not go through until I put details of a valid card and payments not going through meant cards will not be paid!
It was a simple process though, I filled in the details of one of my debit debit card, made sure I had some money in that account and the amazon account was back within seconds. I then requested reimbursment the following day and it was processed without delay.
If you don’t have another card, banks generaly trie to issue replacements within 5 days otherwise you can open a Metro Bank account (they print cards on the spot), put £10 in it and use that card if you can’t wait.
