Great question — this policy has come up a lot recently so let us clarify.

The AI-generated people disclosure requirement applies to all worldwide Amazon stores and covers all media, not just A+ content. Any images containing photorealistic AI-generated people that you upload must be tagged with the appropriate metadata. If your existing listings have AI-generated people, we'd recommend updating those as well using the guidance in the help pages below.

You need to tag if your image features people entirely generated by AI. You do not need to tag if your images only feature real people, characters from movies or video games, non-photorealistic people, or no people at all.

For A+ content, you can either tag before uploading using your computer's tools, or check the "AI-generated people" box during upload in the A+ Content Manager. For non-A+ images, tag the file before uploading. If you're using Amazon's AI tools like Creative Studio or A+ GenAI, tagging is done automatically.

Non-compliant media may be removed and repeated issues could lead to enforcement actions on your account.
