WHAT THE HECK? BANK ACCOUNT APPARENTLY LINKED TO ANOTHER SELLER ACCOUNT .

I HAVE JUST RECEIVED THE BELOW EMAIL, WHICH TELLS ME MY BANK DETAILS ARE LINKED TO ANOTHER SELLING ACCOUNT.

This is more than troubling, because as we approach the festive selling season, we invest heavily in stock. The ramifications are monstrous, it would ruin my business if deactivation occurs. Email sender is apuk-seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk whereas the reply address is apuk-seller-verification-enquiry+A3NP6DDE553XY1@amazon.co.uk

We operate several stores on Amazon (ie UK, DE, IT and ES) under the same seller account but we certainly don't have another seller account. I do use the email and bank details for our Amazon buying account, however.

Any help would be much appreciated. @Julia_Amazon - I can't tell you how serious this would be if the worst came to the worst. And this, only 5 months after the KYC reverification programme. It's utterly horrible.

Hello,

This is an urgent request for you to provide additional information about your account to complete the verification.

Failure to respond to this request as soon as possible may lead to your disbursements and listings being temporarily deactivated.

What happens if I do not send the required information?

You have a total of 60 days from the day we first contacted you to provide all documentation or information requested to complete the verification. The time that Amazon takes in reviewing and validating the information or documentation provided will not be counted against the 60 days threshold you are given. Failure to provide this on time will impact your ability to disburse your funds and the verification of your account.

If it has been more than 60 days since we first contacted you, your account will remain temporarily deactivated until the requested information or documentation has been provided and your account has been verified.

Why is this happening?

The bank details registered to your account are also used by another Selling on Amazon account.

How do I submit the required information?

Respond to this email to clarify the relationship between your businesses.

Have you provided the information that they requested. That would be the first step. In the first instance you should tell them there is no link to any other business and they have made a mistake.

I would think it is unlikely that another seller is using your bank account details. They would have to provide bank statements to be able to withdraw to it. What would be the point anyway as they wouldn't get the money!

I doubt they are linking it to your buyer account unless that account uses a name that is not on your seller account which may be causing some confusion

I have just received the same email but we only have 1 seller account. We moved our business premises about a year ago and have been trying to get Amazon to change the information on our account to the new address for ages. Last week I received an email confirming they had now changed the address so I am wondering if this has caused it.

Like you have said how do you prove you don't have another seller account!
