Which bank is the debit card issued to (some are valid some months and not others) Also as you mentioned Amazon prefer a credit card for taking your money sort of gaurantees you will pay it. Debit cards you can be out of money with.

Did you try another browser? I had a problem with Lloyds card and the problem was in incorrect redirection to Lloyds to confirm card

This is happening to a lot of sellers, we also have been affected and haven't been unable to resolve this with European marketptplaces.
The card used is the same as the UK, it gets added without a problem and is verified but as soon as the payment cycle happens, we get a message saying invalid payment method etc.
There's definitely a system problem.

I have the same problem. Just setting my business up and all marketplaces except uk accepted the business debit card and took the small amount of money out to do the verification. I asked seller support and they advised it has to be a cred card?

Do you currently have, or have you ever had, an active Mexico marketplace? I tried to restore the card data by selecting the US marketplace, but I received an email from Amazon Mexico in Spanish stating they were unable to verify my payment method.
Maybe we need to delete the Mexico marketplace? I don't even use it and I have the status set to 'Vacation' there.

Did anyone work this out? iv been a seller for over a decade. all of a sudden amazon decided my sanander card wasnt valid despite it being used for months before this. i tried reentering it but nothing. its defiantley correct details, in date valid card. but no matter what i try it doesnt work.
i contacted their support who told me to clear all cache (i already had but did again anyway) no luck
then to try on firefox exactly the same outcome.
they then said it must be the banks problem. iv chekced with them, nothing wrong at all. theyve sent me a new card just to be sure and low and behold it still doesnt work!
this is clearly an amazon problem but they dont seem to care. did anyone come up with anything?
