Sounds like you need a KDP account, search Amazon KDP and you'll find all the information for Ebooks and downloads

This is an important aspect to consider as :

"In the UK, third-party sellers are allowed only to sell physical books, not ebooks or Kindle books (self-published authors using the KDP service, however, can sell their ebooks, as they are the first party or direct sellers, not third parties)."

According to the Amazon Help Pages, first-party or direct sellers can sell e-books in the UK using the KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) service.

You mentioned that you are the publisher. I have reached out to the relevant Partner Team to bring you more insights about the service and your case.

They recommend that you contact their team directly, as I or Seller Support would not have specific knowledge about this service.

Below, I am sharing the instructions on how to contact them.

  • Go to the KDP Help Centre Page
  • Navigate to the Help Topics section on the right side of the page
  • Scroll down to the Contact Us section
  • Click on the Contact Us button
  • Use Amazon credentials to log in
  • Select topic -> Account, taxes, and getting started->Get started publishing a book
  • Navigate to Still need help? Contact Us?
  • It should give you the option to call or start a chat with the Team
