Amazon Warehousing and Distribution now available in Europe

Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) is now available in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. AWD helps you address supply chain challenges by providing flat-rate, long-term bulk storage in Amazon distribution centres with automated replenishment to Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) fulfilment centres across Europe.

When you use AWD, you can:

  • Access additional storage capacity: Store eligible inventory in bulk with AWD, giving you greater flexibility to send more inventory to Amazon without FBA capacity constraints.
  • Stay in stock automatically: Keep your FBA inventory at optimal levels with AWD's auto-replenishment capability to eliminate manual restocking and reduce the risk of stockouts.
  • Simplify your storage costs: Pay a flat rate no matter how long you store, with no long-term commitments, so you always know what to expect.
  • Save more when you use Amazon services together: Unlock discounts on storage and transportation costs when you use AWD alongside other eligible Amazon Services.
  • Manage your supply chain in one place: Use AWD to handle bulk storage and FBA fulfilment, so you can manage both with a single solution.

Prepare for peak season with AWD

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, now is the time to position your inventory in AWD so you can stay in stock during the highest-demand sales events of the year.

To use AWD to maximise your sales potential and ensure timely shipment and faster delivery, keep the following dates in mind:

  • Your inventory must arrive at AWD distribution centres by 7 October 2026.
  • You must create a replenishment shipment from AWD to FBA by 10 October 2026.

AWD peak storage promotion

From 1 October to 31 December 2026, we’ll waive AWD storage fee for all eligible inventory stored at our Europe AWD distribution centres. All other AWD fees (inbound processing, outbound processing and transportation) apply at standard rates. Storage fee resumes 1 January 2027.

For more information, go to AWD Fees. To help you plan for the busiest season of the year, go to the Q4 Peak readiness playbook.

Go to Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, select Send to AWD, and follow the prompts to create your first shipment.

By using AWD, you agree to the Amazon Warehousing and Distribution program policy.

On 27th August we dispatched our first AWD UK shipment (195 units) using Amazon's Partnered Carrier UPS. On 2nd September UPS shows it as delivered. On 2nd September the units appeared in our FBA inventory. The AWD shipment on Amazon's system never went to "Checked in” or "Receiving”. Very strange. Opened a case with Amazon last week but still awaiting a reply.
