Sadly with the new "featured" instead of "relevant" search filter Amazon has forced on all buyers, you HAVE to advertise to get meaningful exposure now.
for us, we normally do around £1000-£2000 a day in the UK alone. this year we are down 60% and it's because we switched advertising off. We turned it on 2 days ago and boom, here come the sales again. BUT at double the CPC from last year.
Blame "featured" search filter.

This is a difficult time for most people . all household bills are going up. and i think a lot of people are realizing that Amazon might not be the cheapest place to buy items , so they are shopping around .

I am solely Wholesale and Arbitrage - don't run any ads whatsoever as I sell branded products - my featured offer has gone from 10% to 1%!! account health fine, all the parameters at 0% - I only sell products with a minimum of 100+ sales per month... honestly lost for words how slow it is at this time of year.

Looks like Amazon are turning to AI so that's probably it... our Amazon sales are dire.

Are you FBA or FBM? Amazon has extended lead times on FBM including SFP

There's a large shift to PPC now, you have to adapt to the marketplace you are in. Call it unfair or not, but nobody has a divine right to sell on Amazon, so if you want to take part - you have to adapt. If it's too expensive to sell here, then move on. For every person not doing so well, there's another who's doing well. It's just the way it is.
