Of al the news articles you could put about returns, what on earth is this?
Most returns are now refund at first scan, so this doesn’t even apply!!

How does this work with refund on scan, and the fact safe t claims don’t really work as you only issue very low partial refunds for items that are returned unsellable.

Also I thought restocking fees (though that isn’t really what this is) are not allowed in the UK?
Seller_DTufFoxJuMU0M
Restocking fees are illegal in the UK
Though receiving a return that is used/damaged/defective etc and reducing the refund because of it has nothing to do with a restocking fee.
And how are we supposed to issue a refund reduction when Amazon have already refunded in full
Honestly talk about the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing…
Just when you thought Amazon couldn’t get any worse, it seems they have now released that many crap policies even they don’t know how the system works now!

Laughable. Yet again Amazon posting up unworkable information.

Our business has almost crumbled because of amazons “return on first scan” applying to premium technology costing £500+ a piece (even up to £900 for a single item)
Close to the point of almost all returns being equivalent to 100% lost revenue plus an additional 3% or 4% that amazon charges as a returns fee (Amazon is effectively a casino in a gangster film - it never looses).
So we’re having to pre-empt returns and cancel orders from example all rural areas in Northern England. Everyone buying from Liverpool, Burnley, Grimsby etc has their order cancelled ASAP. And those that enquire as to why - well - tough luck.
