Amazons fair pricing policy

As a fellow book/media seller, I have this all the time ! Listings deactivated for 'potential high pricing' yet there are other sellers with their listings still active priced FAR more, poorer condition, and as you say, will NEVER be available. Not sure if this happens so much with other categories ?, but it is so frustrating. I usually sell elsewhere (Ebay !)

I'm afraid this is yet another quite disgraceful Amazon policy. I have raised the issue here several times and there have been many other threads.
One of the "tactics" Amazon uses to stop us selling books ( I'm certain its the same for vinyl and other media) is to invoke the comparison prices.. One of those comparison prices is what Amazon itself is selling the book for. There are countless examples of Amazon "selling" an old book , say from the 1980s. They advertise it in "NEW" condition and use the original selling price , say £2.00.. Sellers like me cannot possibly compete with this. What makes it worse is that the Amazon book will be "available in 6 months time" - which means that they do not have it in stock. They will ,of course, NEVER have it in stock.
I have tried reporting this but I'm afraid , as usual, Seller support have no clue.

I totally agree with you about Amazon hijacking the buybox with unavailable titles and supressing listings from marketplace sellers who are unable to match Amazon's ludicrously low prices. It's absurd and unfair.
I get this all the time with old Penguin titles.
Example (one of many):
1.25
FREE delivery on orders over £10 shipped by Amazon.
Temporarily out of stock.
[I'm not sure how your screenshot relates to any of this.]

In the category I sell in, I have noticed some untouchable sellers. Regardless of the price they sell, Amazon's fair price policy doesn't affect them.
I have stopped listing about 200 items because of low or no profit if sold at Amazon's recommended price. However, I have learnt to take advantage of those sellers' high prices.
