if i am listing a generic item, is there a point in having a UPC/EAN
as per the heading. if i am listing a generic listing (as i am not brand registered and am selling a private label item). is there any reason why i would require a barcode (UPC or EAN)
second question - if i was to sell my private label item under a brand. what is the need to have a barcode, is it just a requirement of amazon of is there some kind of benefit?
thanks

You have to have either a UPC or apply for exemption. How can it be generic and private label ??
If you need to buy barcodes then Amazon will now only accept ones from GS1
If you haven't sold on Amazon for a while (I think you said that in one of your posts ?) then you should take some time to read Amazon's Seller University which tells you all you need to know, as there have been a LOT of changes.

Hi @Seller_EkcAwH0C83cNF,
Thank you for your post.
I am closing this thread, which is a duplicate of thread below:

Kind regards,
