Individual Seller

Hi, I am a new seller and sold a few things.
I received an email from Amazon saying that I incorrectly selected the “individual” legal entity when registered. However, I am private individual seller who sells personal items I no longer need. Amazon have temporarily deactivated my selling account. As I have shipped the items already. Will I get the payment for the items for Amazon?

Many thanks

Have you sold a lot? I think they are saying your activity is more like a business than an individual.

Did you sell these items as ‘New’.

Strictly speaking, if they are your own personal items, even if unused, they should be listed as ‘Like New’.
Amazon will assume if you are selling new items that you have purchased them to sell on for profit, and if that is the case you are classed as a business.

I have listed around 8-9 items. they are single one-off items.

I have received this email from Amazon:
Dear Seller,

Thank you for your email.

To continue with your account verification, please update your legal entity by following the instructions below.
– Go to the “Account Info” page in the “Settings” section of Seller Central (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/on-board/configuration/index.html)
– Click “Edit” in the “Business and Contact Information” section and select the relevant legal entity.
– Confirm the business details and click “Submit”.

Use the following information to select the correct legal entity:
– Individual: you must only choose this legal entity if you do not sell for profit. Individual sellers may list unwanted personal items, such as old DVDs or books.
– UK Sole Proprietor: this legal entity is for any commercial individual who sells for profit. A Sole Proprietorship is registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). There is no legal distinction between the owner and the business.
– Business or Partnership: this legal entity includes Sole Proprietors registered in countries outside the UK. It also includes Charities, Partnerships, Private Limited Companies, and Public Companies.

I have explained to Amazon a couple of times by replying to the email.
I keep receiving the same email from Amazon with the same questions.
Seems like it might be not possible to ‘undo’ as I sold the few items as ‘new’ instead of 'like new" like Peter said.
My question is, if I won’t be able to reactivate my seller account, does it mean I won’t receive my payment for the items I have already shipped to the buyers?
