Well if you you'd like to hear from me.....
I absolutely love the Forums! Especially when Sellers come and post about their Selling Experiences and selling tips! 😀😀😀
Please don't make too much fun of me!

Please make the forum work properly by having replies displayed in order of writing, not the unusable nested replies you currently have. [Moderator Edit : inappropriate content removed]

Hi Sarah_CAM,
I use the Forums for two things primarily:
To find out the topics I should know about already, but don't, so I can learn what's going on
And to help Sellers in those areas I am familliar with
Oh, and because I haven't enough orders to keep me frantically busy...
All Best
Brian
PS Why isn't your topic pinned?

Come on @Sarah_Amzn! Deleting my "in jest" comment about my proposed penalty due to whoever decided on the nested reply system was a little OTT!

It seems that most people come to the forum with problems that they cannot seem to fix, even via Seller Support !! Some of the issues are very complex, and unfortunately other sellers cannot solve these.
Personally, I tire of constantly explaining to sellers the difference between the seller ACCOUNT type (Legal entity) and the selling PLANS. These are NOT explained clearly enough in the Sign-Up pages, as everyone simply clicks on Sign-up and then wonders why they have had the Pro plan fee taken from their account !

If your looking to improve the forums scrap the anominity ruling brought in last year. MANY of your main contributers have dropped out and they had a lot of knowledge (probably more than your entire seller support team/robots).
Littleshop would chirp up on many subjects and helped out hundreds of people who came looking for answers these days many of the questions just float on down the line without any meaningfil answers.

I think the forums are indispensable for keeping up with changes to Amazon policy as well as helping with individual problems but like others have said, the current 'nested replies' format has made it virtually impossible to follow long threads.
While it is now possible to order posts by 'latest activity' it is actually still very difficult to find latest replies amongst all the 'hidden by default ' nested replies.
A straightforward list of posts in order of posting time would make it much easier to follow longer threads.
Breaking threads into separate pages would also help as it would remove the annoyance of having to scroll through dozens or hundreds of already read posts every time you want to get to the latest postings.
Sadly, infinite scrolling seems to be flavour of the month with forum designers and while it might make for a less cluttered look, it isn't very practical when it comes to finding the end of a long thread.
Sorting threads by 'latest posting date' helps to an extent but still leaves new posts hiddens by default in longer threds with lots of nests. It also isn't obvious that to see all the threads with recent activity, it is necessary to select 'all time' in the 'Date/time' options. Annoyingly, I can't seem to set this as the default.
Another annoyance is the inability to add to relatively recent inactive/closed threads, even when there are only one or two existant replies. This leads to a lot of needless duplication.
Apologies for the long post but I feel these are important points to raise.

Would also add my dislike of the 'nested' replies, it was so much better the old way with the most recent replies in chronological order - too much info gets lost in the nests.
I am always surprised by the number of threads that receive absolutely no replies at all, when in the past I would say that most threads would have at least some response.

I'm new to the Forums, but I think a new interface is needed. :)

The morbid satisfaction that everyone gets screwed by BS A-Z claims not just us.
Misery loves company.
