Greeting Cards FBA
Looking for advice on selling greeting cards for FBA, if anyone has experience?
I have a range handcrafted greeting cards that sell really well. However, I am worried that it might not be suitable for FBA. They cost us £2.62/ex vat each and with FBA costs, I am worried I could end making a loss.
What would the selling price need to be, £5.99 incl vat? We sell for £5.00 in store. Maybe I am chasing a dead end…

Get them on the FBA Small and Light program if dimensions permit.
Cheaper than packing and posting yourself.

As said try S & L FBA fee 60p or 80p depending on thickness. You need to send 24 min of each SKU.

How about bundling them together and selling them in say packs of 6 or 12? More profit.

I sell greetings cards FBA using small and light, even adding VAT onto the 80p it still works out less than the cost of a first class large letter stamp, it’s a no brainer really.
You have to send a minimum of 24 items to small and light so maybe test the water with FBM first?

@Claire1 Fairly dismal alright. @Jackie1 looks like its definitely cheaper to go FBA. However, I reckon our product cost is just too high to make a go of it for online sales full stop.

We have only ever sold our gifts online, never cards as per above fear. We can sell 20/30 of this line at £5 -£8.50 on a good day in store but a lot to be said for the tactile experience, it just wouldn’t be the same online to sell for anything more than £6 (I think…) without any brand recognition. @Jackie1 yeah these are quite high end with embellishments - buttons, feathers, that kind of thing. @To_do_Things Maybe I will look into a reduction on cost and testing with FBM at the higher end £7.50+. Great to get feedback from online card sellers, thank you. I Could be going down the rabbit hole for what could be a poor return…

To get into S&L you need to have sales history for the ASIN. I tried to add a new product to S&L but it said we needed to have sold at least 30 units in the past 30 days (we’d only sold 21).

The main issue is the price you’re sourcing the card for. £2.62. Is it goldplated?
