Extensive false positves from API and inventory view - we are NOT winning the buybox as stated. Sales battered
So this is a nasty comedown after an excellent (if exhausting) peak week. There is a major disconnect between the buybox detail in inventory view and the different prices users see online. To be absolutely sure of my theory is also verified against seller API which continuously told us we were buy box winner when we are absolutely not. This has impacted sales dramatically, down 80% in less than 1 day. I have included screen shots in the case id raised 16797500061. This severe data latency in the API could well be a hangover from the sheer volume of repricing and data churn I and other sellers have contributed to. PLEASE can some mods look into this and get escalated. Absolutely hideous battering on sales and dont think it can be isolated as I am verifying against the API's. Help needed urgently......

This means that not all sellers may be eligible for the Featured Offer. I won't be able to provide any details on how this selection is determined beyond the information provided in the Become the Featured Offer help page.

Thank you for reaching back. The problem is way more complex i think and would of course be happy to be corrected and welcome your response.
Take this SKU as example of many , many examples 9781465475855. We are featured listing eligibile at a featured price of 30.22 but this other seller has held buybox for days now. So my point us is why we are being told featured offer price is 30.22 where listings show up with same seller for last few days at higher price. Dont get me wrong I dont have any problem with competition i just dont want to be told we have a buybox winning price in the back end when the public see something completely different and at a different and higher price. This issue of course feeds into our algorithmic dynamic repricing where we not being shown the "actual/real-time" featured buybox price in the API PayLoad (identical prices to listings view). Please can you escalate this as this time lag / disconnect is

causing a lot of harm to us.
