Setting shipping rates for individual areas that require higher rates
Hello
This is probably a basic adjustment to the shipping templates, but I find this a bit confusing. Currently we cannot ask for surchargable postage for areas that require same, like the outbound regions of Scotland that are very expensive to ship say 8ft bamboo canes, or heavy duty pots to and we have always been able to request the surcharge to be paid by the customer. Now we cannot do that, and I have to adjust prices and shipping bands. I have attempted to create a heavy and large items template, but cannot figure that out, nor can I edit the current default template…actually I find all of this so confusing and a bit difficult that I am considering pulling off Amazon…
Can someone tell me how to create more shipping bands so I can get my proper postage created for these areas, or I see that I can sort of migrate to the new shipping however it ill delete my current settings - what the hell is one to do? Can someone someway point me in the right direction??

I am afraid it is not possible for you to charge more for these locations than other parts of the UK. Amazon regard all UK postcodes as one shipping setting and have made it impossible to have variations within this.

We used to be able to do that, but now cannot and I realise that so I have to increase my shipping bands to accomodate a tighter pricing regime. I cannot create new bands currently on the template that I have or can I?
It is so disturbing of Amazon to make life so difficult and I have been in their HELP areas all day and have a real headache as they say almost nothing but link you here and there all over the place…
There is also something about migrating to a new shipping area but that has to do with BMVD and we do not sell discs, etc that are so easy to post…
Do you know how I can create new price bands so I can tighten up our postage?

We have the same problem
We have to cancel Channel Island orders because of the price to send. Our couriers want £23 to send a 10kg parcel.

Some of our items are large and perishable and only Parcelforce, Royal Mail or APC will accept them, Hermes or any other courier won’t take them as it’s against their rules.
So we have put the prices up for everyone to pay for the N Ireland / Scottish Isles etc.
