Seller 'support'
I feel that i am being driven out of Amazon.
I first registered 2 years ago, sold without issue but due to personal circumstances downgraded my account to individual.
2 weeks ago I upgraded it back to 'Professional'
Since then I have encountered issues, which more often than should not have been issues, almost every day.
The only means of contacting Amazon seems to be via the 'Help' button. The people on the other end are the most ignorant, unprofessional and argumentative people I have ever had to deal with in a professional situation.
One issue was where an item of mine got flagged as a potential Trademark breach. I checked via the government database and found that my item was fine. However, having looked on Amazon marketplace I saw there was over 40 other sellers selling items which did breach this Trademark. I contacted the 'Seller' support having followed a link which said if I felt it was a mistake to contact them. The Amazon employee kept sending me a link to the policy and telling me I was in breach. I tried to explain, offered the information on how to prove it and the person simply said unless I had a letter permitting me they would not change their stance. Again, I was not in breach of copyright. I pointed out about the other sellers in breach and this employee said the all had permission from the Copyright holders. This agent was extremely condescending and rude. Following speaking to this person I did contact the Copyright holders directly. They have confirmed I was not in breach and also said they did not give anyone permission to use their name and have contacted their IP solicitors regarding Amazons claim. I have given up trying to talk logic to Amazon staff and am no longer trying to sell this item through Amazon.
I spent hours the following day with support trying to resolve and issue with a listing. In the end having failed to get any help I deleted the listing and started from scratch, apparently the issue was a bug on the website. However, not a single member of Amazon 'Support' thought to tell me this was a possibility and I was again subjected to extreme ignorance and rudeness.
Yesterday I logged on to find another email from Amazon, this time regarding an item being 'Search Suppressed'. Again not a single member of Amazon 'Support' dealt with me professionally or with manners. None were able to explain why the image of my product was an issue. One started arguing with me, I pointed this out and he admitted that yes he was arguing with me. Finally on a phone call still regarding this same issue an agent said she was aware I had been 'arguing' with several members of staff and that I didn't want help I just wanted to argue with them. This agent then insisted before helping me that I went into my personal identity section. She claimed I hadn't filled this in. I told her I had (I have had this account for 2 years at this point without this being an issue) and she insisted I hadn't. I got there and there, everything was filled in and Amazon weren't asking for anymore details. Following this, she said the reason my car related product, relating to diesel cars was causing an issue was because I am not allowed to sell on Amazon using the word 'Diesel'. Following previous dealings I knew this person was going to claim everyone who uses the word 'Diesel' must have permission from the jeans company. My initial response was 'that's nonsense'. This persons response to this was to start shouting at me for being rude and unprofessional and she wasn't going to deal with me. I asked to speak to wither a supervisor or be put through to the Irish call centre (I had actually gotten help from an Irish person over one of these previous issues). This person claimed she was in Ireland then continued shouting at me. My patience had worn thin (this was 3 hours of trying to resolve this issue) so I asked for information on getting a Data Subject Request. She not only didn't know what this was but refused to help me get it. She then said she was going to 'report me' and hung up. I have logged on this morning to an email telling me my personal information needs updated, the email is pretty much gibberish, and when I follow the link there is no option to update anything or even any indication of what Amazon thinks is incorrect.
I am quite angry. I have wasted hours trying to list things on this marketplace and have gotten nowhere. I have been insulted, lied to and argued with. I have been denied the product I agreed to when I signed up with Amazon and as far as I am concerned they are in breach of contract. Unless it is resolved I will not only not be paying the Amazon fee but will take any legal action necessary to enforce this decision. It is crazy that the only apparent way to speak to an Amazon representative is through that Help button and these ignorant people.
Does anyone have any advice on where I can speak to someone who will be professional and actually want to assist? All I really want is to list the items I have been selling offline and on other marketplaces.
