Amazon Handmade vs Regular Amazon

I've been looking to find a definitive answer to this question and haven't been able to. We are a small candle manufacturing company that makes all our candles by hand, we were planning to go the regular Amazon route and are brand registered. I recently found out about "Amazon Handmade" and it seems our products definitely qualify however I'm reading that these items are not shown in Amazon regular search and so there is a smaller audience reached when using the "handmade" marketplace. If someone could shed some light on whether our products will not be seen as much if we become "handmade" sellers I would appreciate any insight.
