Trying to send a LTL shipment to Germany, but pallet labels are for Poland?!

Hi everyone. After dealing with all the post-brexit bureaucratic nightmare (getting a VAT number in the Germany, nominating a customs broker for indirect representation, getting an EU EORI number, and getting set up with Kuhne + Nagel for LTL shipments), I was finally able to create my first shipment in Seller Central for the Germany Marketplace.

I used Send To Amazon, selected my SKUs, got the box labels (WRO5 - WRO5 via: Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik GmbH Schieferstraße 16 - 06126 - Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt - Germany), labelled everything, wrapped the pallets and put all the details into the workflow, ready to print the pallet labels… lo and behold, the destination address is now Poland: Ship to Amazon Fulfillment Poland sp. z o.o. Okmiany Chojnow Okmiany, Dolnoslaskie voivodeship 59-225 PL (WRO5)

Same Amazon Fulfilment Centre reference. Different country. Kuhne+Nagel, Amazon’s partnered carrier now refuses to collect the shipment because it’s all of a sudden going to Poland, even though at every step in the shipment creation process the shipment is going to Germany.

Because I set up everything for Germany as it’s where we expect to generate much more sales than for instance Poland, I don’t have VAT number in Poland and therefore I cannot ship this order. Even though I am obviously trying to ship it to Germany.

I’ve opened a ticket with Seller Support but typically they just say ‘yeah, your shipment is going to Poland, so ship it to Poland. Tough luck you dn’t have a VAT number there’.

Has anyone else has this problem, and if so… is it fixable?

I believe the policy is that to store goods in Germany you are required to register in both Poland and Czech Republic since Amazon use all 3 to store goods for fulfillment in Germany.

Hi

if you look at the delivery address its via Halle Germany.

A lot of times the end destination is WRO5 which is Poland but its sent to Germany and then gets moved to Poland.

They should deliver it as our transport co will deliver to WR05 when its via Germany but not Poland direct
