On Time Delivery Rate Fallen Sharply
Has anyone else seen there On Time Delivery Rate (OTDR) fall drastically today.
Yesterday mine just over 97%, today it is at 50.49%
Worried that will cause delivery times to be extended.
I think Amazon may now be including items which don't have a delivery scan as being late. Anyone else seeing this?

Do you ship using CRL?
We're tracked 24/48 and ours hasn't dropped.
I'd be shocked if nearly half of your labels weren't getting a scan. This feels like a bug in the system.

No, it does - the issue isn't a sudden increase in late post, it's the sudden inclusion of unscanned post being classed as late on the report - previously unscanned 24/48 weren't included (presumably because there was no way of knowing if it was late or not as RM hadn't bothered scanning!)

Hope it is a glitch - otherwise amazon really need to drop the pretence here and just say they want orders going via RM Tracked 48 as a minimum.
Sadly, that would I imagine be the end of many sellers, though it is the minimum service amazon seem to use for Prime deliveries around our way.

Or do as they are doing in the USA say that you get OTDR protection if you use one of Buy Shipping, Automated Handling Time or SSA templates.
Obviously it is different over there as you need to have 90% minimum OTDR to sell.
They may well be heading us down this avenue in the UK.
Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn
The report indicates that they are seeing unscanned RM48 as late.
I agree the maths doesn't work though and I hope it is just a glitch.
Seller_ZQyopdiwkUHOZ
No, it doesn't. As I outlined, for that to be the case, the scan rate would have to be around 50%. CRL gets scanned at between 75% and 90%. In no world is it getting a 50% scan rate.

Hello @Seller_yylt4LmSkAuNg,
Thank you for sharing these detailed insights.
Have you received any feedback yet? I’m also following up on the issue from my end.
Best,
Simon

@Simon_Amazon Not yet - got a reply from managingdirector email saying it had been 'passed to the relevant department for investigation' - which means it's probably gone straight back to the account health rep who didn't understand it last time! :)
Thanks for following up though, please keep us posted!

@Simon_Amazon just wondering if any updates from your following up?

Hello @Seller_yr4TlcuTjThYJ and @Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn,
I’m currently waiting for feedback from our partner team, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, understanding the urgency of the issue.
In the meantime, are you experiencing any limitations on your account because of this?
Best,
Simon
Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn
Not experiencing any limitations
Although the worry still remains that a low OTDR can result in an extended delivery promise. I am not seeing this at the moment though.

Same here. Monitoring for padding several times a day.

Our ODTR rate normally sits around the 95%. We ship CRL 24/48. Last week it dropped overnight to 71% and has continually hovered around 70% ever since.
As has already been discussed the cause of this drop in OTDR is that Amazon are now including orders not scanned on delivery by Royal Mail. This is obviously something we have no control over.
Normally when our ODTR metric dropped to below 90% Amazon would then show extended delivery dates to the customer. However are advertised delivery dates have not been padded YET, they seem to be what we would consider normal.
Has anyone else suffered extended delivery dates due to this drastic drop in OTDR?

Mine rate has been 100% for a very long tome but has just dropped to 92.81%. I always post items the next even though, like an order received may not need to be shipped until the Tuesday. I routinely do this. I also always enter the VTR code either while at home or using my mobile phone. That is all I can do. Royal Mail take over as soon as I visit the post office and pay the postage. So, it looks like I am being punished by Amazon for the order not arriving on time. WHAT? What kind of crazy system blames me for something I cannot control. Helpful answers would be much appreciated.
