New to selling. package sent without tracking

HI All,

I am new to selling on amazon and I recently (21/12/21) sent a package by Royal Mail. but I forgot to ask for a tracking number. now I can’t confirm the dispatch without a tracking number and amazon wants to cancel the order.
I am sure she has received it . as I sent it first class. and if she hadn’t received it , surely she would have complained by now?

I have explained this amazon but I keep getting the same message from amazon to confirm shipment,
would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

It is NOT necessary to send everything tracked, and to be honest if under £20 value is not worth the extra cost.
You can and MUST confirm shipment, and you need to to get paid for the item, and within a week (I think), or Amazon will cancel the order - that is what is happening now.
You need to go in now to the order and confirm shipment straight away.
Click on Royal Mail from the first dropdown, and then Stamps/Franking from the second (you can choose either 1st/2nd Stamps/Franking, or just the Stamps/Franking options, but DO NOT select just 1st or 2nd Class as will be invalid.

Amazon are correct in saying that you must confirm shipment. Just leave the tracking box blank.

My next advice would be to read Seller University - link is at the bottom of your seller homepage.
That will tell you all the processes that are required for selling on Amazon.

I would also suggest you use Amazon’s’ Buy Shipping’ as you can choose whichever shipping method you want (Royal Mail or Hermes, and for small parcel size packages it is cheaper than over the counter at the PO), and your shipment will be automatically confirmed and any tracking numbers input automatically too and will be valid for your VTR metric.
