Error code 5461

I’ve tried multiple times to submit my product but keep getting the 5461 code pop up before I submit. My seller qualification application has been submitted and got approval a week ago allowing me to create new ASIN’s for my brand. The only responses I’ve gotten are to wait 24 hours to submit my draft which I have and I still get the error message. I’ve also been told to clear the cache, cookies, history, and that still doesn’t work. I am on a Google Chrome browser if that makes any difference. If anyone can help me out here that would be great. Getting very frustrated and ready to give up.

Hello @Seller_vJHt5n1zq8X7R,

Thanks for posting here. Error 8541 occurs when there’s a conflict between the product information you’ve submitted and what’s already in Amazon’s catalog. This typically happens when a listing attribute like brand, title, UPC, or color doesn’t match the existing product ID in our system.

Here’s what you can do to resolve this error:

  1. Check the existing product: Search for the ASIN in Amazon to ensure it’s the same product you’re trying to list.
  2. Review the error message: It will specify which attribute is conflicting (e.g., brand, title).
  3. Update your information: If your submission was incorrect, update the conflicting attribute to match Amazon’s catalog data.
  4. Request a change: If you believe Amazon’s catalog data is incorrect, you can request a product detail page change.

To prevent this error in the future:

  • Ensure your product data matches the catalog information exactly, including spacing and capitalization.
  • Use unique standard product identifiers (like UPC, ISBN, EAN) when submitting products.

If you tried the above and still having trouble, don’t hesitate to contact Seller Support for assistance. You can share your case ID in this thread, and I'll review to ensure it's being addressed properly.

Regards,

- Manny
