Are sellers allowed to add a discount codes into orders

Hi. are we allowed as amazon sellers to put a discount code for our own website in with any orders we ship out.

Or is that against the rules.

Thanks

No, sellers aren’t allowed to direct their buyers to third party websites.

It is absolutely against the rules. But I’ve never come across anyone being picked up for it.

Obviously only suitable for FBM/SFP.

That being said, there is nothing against having your full company information on the invoices that you include with their purchase. You just aren’t allowed to insensitive them to visit…

I thought it would be against the rules but just double checking.

Better stay squeaky clean with all the under review threads i see recently.

Thanks everyone.

No for your own website but if you want to pick up repeat orders you can easily set up discount codes in promotions and give the code out when you send orders.

Could be useful if you want to promote related items. I often send out orders for greeting cards and give a discount code for bookmarks or prints on Amazon.

If you go to manage promotions you can create customer codes that can be redeemed multiple times.

A little bit of a risk IMO as these tend to end up on sites like wowcher and next thing you know you’ve got 10 billion people with the same code!
