The current situation is a combination of two things:
(1) USPS fee increase;
(2) Amazon did not implement it correctly so there are a lot of weird shipping fees.

You would have thought (NOT a strong point for Amazon) that they would have done better after the fiasco they created with the death of First Class and birth of Ground Advantage. How long did it take them to fix that? Wasn't it something like 4 or 5 months?

The tiers are wrong. 4 oz is being charged as the 5-8 oz tier, 8 oz being charged as the 9-12 oz tier, 12 oz being charged as the 13-15.99 tier. Go look at eBay and every other site and they are all correct according to USPS except Amazon. What kind of contractor/team does Amazon use that they always screw up something? I'm really curious cause every other platform on Day 1 of a change are right on the money while Amazon is being and no mods have commented yet so far on this issue or notice has been given by Amazon.

Amazon implemented this over this past weekend (Oct 27, 2024).
There was another USPS change that happened which could effect certain labels.
On September 16, 2024, the USPS adjusted rates for Priority Mail® and Ground Advantage™ packages shipped to certain ZIP Codes. This meant the cost to ship these packages might have increased slightly depending on the destination.
It is possible that the destination of your order(s) was(were) to one of the zip codes effected by the Sept 16, 2024 zip code adjustment. You wouldn't see it on all of your orders ... just ones that were within those zip code adjustment areas.

Amazon messed up on the tiers 4 8 12 oz are jumping to the next tier - You are wasting alot of postage shipping on mazon right now!! 4 oz is supposed to be together with 1,2,3, oz instead it is together with 5,6,7 oz same goes for 8 and 12

First: USPS has implemented temporary rate changes for the 2024 holiday shipping season. This peak-season pricing affects Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage. These rate changes have been applied to Amazon Buy Shipping beginning yesterday, October 28.
However, as you and other sellers pointed out: there is an issue with Ground Advantage thresholds for shipments under one pound, specifically for 4/8/12-ounce shipments.
I shared these seller reports with our partner team, and they confirmed that there is an issue and that they are working to correct it. I will follow up in the forums when I receive updates, but a fix is being worked on.

Definitely experiencing the same. Of course, we all know about the Holiday rate increase (which I find quite comical, not only are they getting more business which should help their efficiencies. But they are using it as an excuse to raid our accounts.) Kinda nuts really!
