VTR Royal Mail 24/48

Hi All,

I use Royal Mail 24/48 bought via my own account (not via Amazon buy shipping)

I've just had one of the "Your valid tracking is lower than 95%" emails that I regularly get. I normally ignore them as Amazon used to exempt any the postie didn't scan on delivery.

I just thought I'd better check that policy is in place and I can't find any reference to it. In fact, it sounds as though it's changed as they now say:

"Other services that offer a delivery confirmation scan or full tracking may be bought via Royal Mail or via Buy Shipping. However, if a delivery confirmation scan is not provided, this order will only be exempted if the shipping label was bought through Buy Shipping."

Did I miss an announcement or is the policy still in place?

Hi Tone_Deaf_Music1,

Yes, as far as I know the policy changed and there is no longer any 'background checking'

If you're not sending through Amazon's Buy Shipping and R. M. fail to scan your parcel's bar-code on arrival Amazon view it as untracked (even if it was scanned on receipt at the Post Office)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings

It has been removed from policy and Mods have confirmed that the new policy does not validate unscanned RM48 items.

However I have been below 95% since the revised policy was introduced and I have not been suspended. I know of other sellers also below 95% who have not been suspended. The suggestion is that they are still validating unscanned items.

Even the VTR warning emails suggests this as it states

We verify tracking numbers before suspending any offers. If you believe that you may be exempt from this enforcement, go to "Valid Tracking Rate FAQs".

It changed a while back. All the references to validation were removed.

Amazon were questioned on this and to be honest trying to get clarification on this point was like pulling teeth.

As written, RM48 does not fulfil the needs of VTR unless you buy via Buy Shipping.
