Amazon advertsing issues

I am reletively new to advertising on Amazon.

I have set up a few campaigns using fixed bids and have set them quite low at 10-20p per click. However when i check the campaigns a few days later amazon keeps changing them to dynamic style bids and setting the clicks at over £1 without my control. I have just had a bill of nearly £300 for advertising which is way above my sales due to my items being low value.

How do i stop amazon changing my bids for me? i just want to have fixed campaigns where i can play about with the bidding amounts myself over time to see how it affects sales. In no way do i want amazon to control my bids for me.

Any help would be great

Although I can't really help with your specific problem, you might want to check out the likes of Advigator .com It is, or was, an approved Amazon partner.

I think I may have had similar issues when starting out, not had any since I started using this. It's saved me a lot in fees.

There may be a setting somewhere (or multiple settings) if I remember right to allow you to stop/budget what Amazon may or may not do. Would something here help?

I pretty much ignore most of what Advigator does in the background. There's too many difficult to understand settings you can fine tune. So I just let Advigator run and let them automatically change campaigns and settings based on all the data they get continuously. As you can see, my budget is fairly low.

It's saved me a lot, when I didn't understand half of what Amazon do. Rather let them deal with it than me.
