FBA fee changing for the same ASIN

Hi there,

Recently I had a look at the FBA fees for some sells we made and I found out that for the same ASIN the fee is changing constantly.

For example for one order is 2.67 and for another is 3.12. For the next one again 2.67 and for the next again 3.12 and so on.

Of course I am talking about sells on the same market.

For some other ASIN I have even bigger differences and even 8 times on the same day for 8 different orders.

Is there a reason for that to happen frequently ?

Thank you!

Hi @Seller_rK6MnPuyjK4wl,

The fee variations you’re noticing might be tied to differences in the shipping charges customers pay.

To get a clearer picture, head to 'Payments' > 'Payments' and then 'Transaction view.' From there, click on the total amount in the far-right column for one of the orders, which will take you to the transaction details page.

At the bottom of that page, under 'Amazon fees,' you’ll see the individual fee amounts. Clicking on these will open the 'Fee explainer,' a window that breaks down exactly how Amazon calculated the fee for that order.

My guess is that the variations are due to shipping costs being factored into the gross total. Since the transaction fee is based on that total, any differences in shipping charges could explain the changes you’re seeing. The 'Fee explainer' should confirm this.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards, Michael

Amazon does automated measurements of size and weight which are always far off.

This may result in different FBA-fees e.g. for different color versions of the same product...
