Linnworks – From Reasonable to Ridiculously Overpriced
We started using Linnworks back in 2016 on their Free plan, which at the time seemed like a great way to manage our growing e-commerce operation. By 2019, they transitioned us to a paid plan costing around £300/month — a steep increase, but we accepted it because the software handled order management and label printing fairly well.
Fast forward to 2021, and the cost has skyrocketed to an eye-watering £14,323 per year. That’s a nearly 48x increase in just a few years with no matching improvement in value or functionality. It feels like we’re being penalised for growing our business.
To make matters worse, we attempted to use Linnworks to list products on Amazon — a feature that’s advertised — but it simply stopped working. No clear explanation, no real support. We were left in the dark, paying a premium for features that don’t even function properly.
In truth, the only thing Linnworks does reliably is manage orders and print shipping labels. Everything else is either broken, outdated, or not worth the cost. For the price we’re now being charged, we expected a much more robust and versatile platform.
I’ll be actively looking for alternatives that offer better value and transparency. Linnworks has unfortunately become a cautionary tale in our tech stack — good at one thing, but wildly overpriced and underdelivering on the rest.

I feel your pain, we went through exactly the same pain as yourself. Free plan to fee paying followed by a large increase. Fortunately for us, three years ago, after reneging on their promise not to increase fees again, they did so. We told them to shove it.
We then tried Selro, which was okayish but the support was way below that expected or needed. The system, (like Linnworks,) was also a little too much for what we needed.
We're now with M2E Pro, which integrates well with our own Magento site and so far, (six months in,) we have no issues. Not as fancy pants as other systems, but we're sticking with it for the time being.

Have a look at Store Feeder. Been using it for just over a year now, very impressed with it.

will be one to second veeqo although feel your pain setting it all up gain esp if you running one or more ecommerce platform.
we also looked at linnworks and a couple of the others and decided that we just could not justify the prices they wanted. They have expanded over the years but not always to the benefit of the user mainl for the benefit of the coders who invent new options.

We left Linnworks over a year ago for the very same reason. We had mods written on our sites to get the same integration after Linnworks, and it cost us very little. Best thing we ever did and now save £££ per year.

Started using Veeqo 2 years ago and is very good considering it is free.
It has a few bugs here and there (but what doesn't !!??)
Took a little while to rewrite my excel stock list to create my own SKU's and then update all my platforms with the SKU's.
Now Veeqo is working very well and handles all my integrations with the exception of OnBuy, who do not support Veeqo at this time.
It integrates with RM C&D as well so no messing around manually marking things as shipped etc.

I totally agree. I pay more than that and only really use it for EU orders as it's the only platform that calculates the taxes corectly. Shipstation does not take discounts into account and if you use IOSS numbers like etsy, shopify etc it can be really messy. Does anybody know if Veeqo is good for multiple IOSS numbers and correct UK to EU calculation ? Linnworks is the only one I found to be spot on. Only use it for shipping, the inventory bit is useless.
