Gated items
ho so i have just joined and set up my seller account and i am trying to sell my first item. However it seems that every single item i try to sell says gated. I have even tried items that i have read are not gated items. Amazon are asking for invoices aswell however if some are bought from retail i only have a receipt so what can i so to find an item that isnt gated? All beauty items also are coming up hazmat even for toiletries. Please help

Before you do anything else go and read Amazon's Seller University, thoroughly. You are unlikely to get anything ungated that you have bought retail - retail arbitrage is NOT the best model for Amazon, despite what youtube videos might tell you.
If you have only just joined then is your account fully verified yet ? - it can take a while.

You say "if" but must say this is not allowed on Amazon and you will likely lose your account "if" this is your business model. This is not ebay and is not a market for the re-supply of goods. Please understand the differences between receipts and invoices. You need to have proper suppliers and an audit trail of whereby sold goods are sourced and or manufactured.
It seems you maybe browsing for ungated products then buying and reselling them. This is not a vaible model and one of the reasons why the gating exists.

If someone (could be yourself) were to buy fake beauty items/toiletries on Amazon made with untested ingredients that gave the person a rash, made their hair fall out, or worse, then Amazon could be sued for millions and suffer reputational damage to the Amazon brand.
Amazon protects themselves as best they can against this by looking for a proven supply chain from the real manufacturer to the Amazon seller. You'll be able to prove this link with an invoice from either the manufacturer or their recognised wholesaler/importer. You may also need a letter of authority to sell that brands products on Amazon so best to get that in place too before listing the product.

You might get away with it for a while but soon or later you will be caught and not only you will lose your account but there are good chances you will also lose the money owed to you and the stock you have in Amazon's fulfilment centre. And once you account is deactivated/terminated you won't be able to have another one, possibly for the rest of your life. I don't know how many posts I have seen on this forum by desperate sellers whose accounts had been deactivated for this very reason.

As well as all the advice above, buying from retail to sell on means you MUST list the item as Used.
Amazon only accept listings for New items when bought from a valid supply chain - not from a retail store, even if unopened. This is why you will be asked to provide invoices and not receipts as proof your items are New.
