Brand listing - can't edit
Hi, I'm new to Amazon selling. I chose a product which has non currently in stock on Amazon but does have a basic listing from the past. I used this as it's under a brand to add the product. I updated/edited it with much more information, the listing has been approved but without the edits.
Question: Is that because i'm not the brand owner and they have to update it themselves? Or some other reason I'm not aware of e.g. edits not working? Or is there another way to add the product as a brand new listing without using the old information (that presumably the brand set up)?
So many questions :)

Amazon used to take data from all sellers on the listing and use what they deemed to be the best.
Now, it tends to be the case that only the brand owner can make the changes and any recommendations you put forward might be used, but they might not.
Remember that you should list on the correct listing. Is it a barcoded product? did you search via the barcode? You can't setup your own listing as that would be a duplicate listing.
