Compliance services-UL or GCC

Hi,

About the policy of Compliance services-- "You must verify that your product complies with the applicable regulations, standards, and requirements listed above through a third-party testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) service provider on an annual basis."

UL and GCC reports were filed and compliance audits were passed a year ago. Now it needs to be re-audited again and annually, and that audit costs up to $4,600 on top of the original report. This fee is a huge burden on us as sellers, how do we survive!

can I use a third-party test report agency? It is an ISO 17025-certified lab.

Anyone can help with this?

Hi @Seller_8tgYfnuZ3WjGk,

I completely understand your concern about the high costs of annual re-audits. The good news is that you have options for potentially reducing these costs while staying compliant with Amazon's requirements.

According to the "Third-party testing labs" section at Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulated products, you can use any ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory instead of UL or GCC, as long as they're accredited to test your specific product requirements.

When choosing an alternative lab, just make sure their test report will include all the required information listed under "Our policy for test reports from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory" at Product compliance documentation:

  • Organization name
  • Proof of compliance with applicable safety standards
  • Applicant's and manufacturer's names and addresses
  • Product description and model number
  • Product image matching your ASIN
  • Report in non-editable format

I hope this helps you find a more cost-effective testing solution!

Best regards, Michael
