Issues with FBA and product indentifier

Hi,

I have a somewhat unique situation that I'm a little stuck with and it seems Amazon Support don't really understand to advise on.

To try and break it down clearly - I have 3 product variations under 1 parent listing, this listing is a few years old and was created prior to us being Brand Registered or enrolling in GS1/GTIN barcodes.

We have since become brand registered and enrolled in GS1 so all new listings have the correct info assigned.

The products in the listing concerned have GTIN and barcodes printed on the packaging but due to Amazon's rules I cannot update the product listing to make amendments, therefor the Amazon product listing has ASIN as the identifier and my physical product has a GS1 GTIN barcode.

Given all of the above, how possible it it for me to still enroll my product in FBA? (it's my best selling listing buy far with high projections)

If they won't change the ASIN to GTIN for me, and given my products have barcodes.. how will they match the product in stock/warehousing to the actual Amazon listing for sales/stock purposes?

The only advice (if you can call it that) I have been given so far by Amazon is to delete my 2 year old listing with many hundreds of sales, feedback and strong search ranking etc.. and start again. I of course would rather just continue to fulfil the orders myself than do this.

Thanks for reading and look forward to hearing any opinions or advice :)
