No Itemized Invoices

Good Morning

I'm new, today is my first day. I purchase large lots of collectibles and multi-media through various auction sites. I have thousands of brand new items. I usually sell on eBay, but I am exploring my selling options.

I applied to sell in a category and was asked for a receipt from the products. I provided the auction site receipt in my application. I was told that the auction receipt is no good and the receipt has to be itemized. I have the receipts from the auction houses, but the receipts do not itemize any of the products from lot. Is there anyway to sell these products on Amazon or no.

Hi @Seller_parQ80dPVO1ih,

Regarding your invoice question, you'll want to review Amazon's invoice requirements here: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GDQ9K277NYP6WNEW

However, there's another important consideration: Amazon typically requires Letters of Authorization (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GUF78PCXAMHDY2A6) from brand owners. With large lots of various branded items, obtaining these authorizations could be challenging.

I don't mean to discourage you, but I wanted to highlight these potential hurdles so you can focus your attention where it matters most.

Kind regards, Michael

The trouble has nothing to do with itemized or not itemized. The trouble is your source. That is not an acceptable source and even if you are allowed to list, if any trouble arises you will be asked for invoices and won't have them. Leading to possible seizure of goods (if FBA), seizure of funds, and loss of your selling account.

No, you may have thousands of items you bought at auction, but at least as far as Amazon is concerned, they are NOT "New". And items bought at auction have no supply chain; even if the receipts were itemized, it would not matter; you have no proof that your items are authentic.

Great source for selling through eBay; but not a way that you want to source items to sell on Amazon.

Hello @Seller_parQ80dPVO1ih,

I wanted to follow up with you regarding your concerns about your application to sell. Generally, I have seen sellers submit one selling application and then get feedback from the review team if more information is required.

I did want to provide the link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured.

These documents:

• Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days

• Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain

• Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

A letter of authorization (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

I also wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.

Carefully review all the feedback the team, @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Z, @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl , @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, and I have shared with you regarding your brand application in order to continue moving forward in the application process.

Regards,

- Manny
