Why can't I register? identity verification issues for UK limited company
Hi please can somebody help?
I’m trying to register as a seller on behalf of my employer - a UK based Limited company. So far I have provided:
Company name, co reg, co address. My name, my address, my driving license and bank details and ticked that I am a legal representative of the business.
I have then setup my business profile, submitted:
CAR from past 90 days
Utility bill (electricity) and a bank statement (both dated Dec 21, submitted Jan 22)
Articles of association
Statement of capital and memorandum of association
I’ve also provided copies of every legal change to directorship and annual accounts
But my account has gone to ‘deactivated’ and this is the email I keep getting sent whenever I try to resubmit any info:
We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time.
In the same email it asks me to setup a video call with the following:
How to schedule an appointment for the video call
To schedule an appointment for your identity verification, follow these steps:
1. Click the following link and sign in to your Seller Central account when prompted.
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/mario/inpvMeeting/appointment/global?mons_sel_locale=en_US
2. If you signed in on a new device or have removed your cookies, you will be redirected to the “Select a Merchant and Marketplace” page. On this page, select “United States” from the “Select an Account” drop-down menu. Make sure to select this option regardless of the marketplace.
I follow these steps and the first few times it just said the link was bad. On the most recent link it takes me to the US seller central but just tells me my credit card isn’t on file - why would it be, i’ve never set up to sell in America. So I’ve now added a credit card on a US seller profile but it’s still not providing me with a way to schedule a video call as requested.
I’ve reached out to UK support a tonne of times, and either get a canned response pointing me to a really basic guide or a response saying that support is for sellers and mine is an account query but as my account is suspended they can’t do anything.
It’s like an Orwellian nightmare, this has been going on for 3 months.
How do I get beyond this, and what could be the cause? I’ve checked literally everything and all addresses are correct, names are correct. The only thing I can think of is on our bank statement we’re known as Ltd but on all other docs we’re Limited. But surely that isn’t it?

The issue with the video call has been raised before and an account health mod has passed the info onto the relevant team
Hopefully they can for you too

It was a good idea to open a separate thread on this, although I’m not sure your fellow sellers will be able to offer you very much help.
I’ve never understood why UK sellers are being routed to the USA for verification calls.
Can you paste here the original notice of deactivation? It might possibly contain some pointers.

Personal I’d write an email explaining all this and send it to the jeff@amazon.com the (Jeff Bezo) , team, at least someone will read it, who it’s a not a 1st level support guy in India or the Philippines, who only will just reply with a generic email (usually unrelated) and mark the case as closed, and refer it the correct team usually this the best way to circumnavigate the support if your not get a satisfactory response from anyone. Welcome to the joys of Amazon’s “support” for sellers.
