Two Seller accounts

Good Evening,
I have had an Amazon seller account for 18 months or so and all is well
My son is now going to open an account in his own name and he lives at the same address as me and I wondered if anyone knew whether this would be frowned on Amazon?
I seem to recall they are reluctant to allow two accounts from the same address?
If anyone has experience of this your thoughts would be welcome
Thanks
Peter

You need to get written permission from Seller Support. Guard this with your life if you are approved.

Your son will need to sell different product types to you.

I can help you there, both my Husband and I have different companies that each have an account with Amazon and we both work from home. We did write to Amazon first to ask permission and basically it is like this.

As long as neither of you sell the same things on your sites, each of you have your own bank which has to be registered to each person and cannot be a joint account, then there should be no problem.

Hope that helps

And whatever you do, don’t use one account to buy from the other.

We’ve got 3 limited companies, each with their own bank accounts and each of them have their own Amazon accounts. I didn’t get written permission, Amazon contacted us eventually asking us to prove that they were all independent companies. However, if you are just sole traders, you may have issues. My Sister and Nephew had to go limited just so they could run two accounts on Amazon from the same address.
