How Can I Transfer My Listing with Complete Rights to the New Account Holder?
Hi Amazon Seller Support Community,
I am seeking guidance on how to transfer one of my product listings (carbon paper) to a new account holder with complete rights. The goal is to ensure that the new account holder gains full control over the listing, including the product details, reviews, and history associated with it.
Could someone please clarify:
- Is it possible to transfer a listing and its associated rights to another seller account?
- What steps or requirements are involved in ensuring a smooth and compliant transfer process?
- Are there specific guidelines or approvals needed from Amazon?
Any advice or detailed instructions from those who have gone through this process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The listing doesn't belong to you - it is controlled by amazon.
You can't transfer a listing in the way you describe as anyone could choose to list on that listing if they had stock of the product.
All this other seller does is list their stock and offer against the ASIN. Now they can add their own information (ie change the description or images) thought there isn't any guarantee amazon will accept the changes.
If you are brand registered - there are other options - though that would involve adding control of the brand itself, not just that ASIN.

We got permission from Amazon to open a second account, a few years back now.
However upon reading the exact working in the confirmation that gave me permission to do so, we decided against it. The wording of one of the conditons was "Not intend to sell the same products in both Seller Accounts."
It did not say "at the same time". It could easily be read into as the same time, but I would call it quite ambiguous and so much so that we decided against it. Our concern was that although the products would not be sold at the same time they would have effectively 'been sold' by both account in due course - just not at the same time.
We had seen cases where sellers had been penalised for previously deleted listings (for one thing or another), so we was of the opinion that if the data is retained then with these bots on overdrive we could get tangled up in an unnecessary web.
Personally, I would never have 2 accounts that will cross over a single product.
I see you mention the other account "is mine aswell" and not "will be mine aswell". Does this mean you already have the second account? If so did you seek advance consent from Amazon SS?
