I presume insurance for a seller selling to UK customers.
(any additional sales to Europe, ROW or most importantly USA)

product liability insurance as opposed to general business insurance?
Are you the manufacturer or own label.
or are you reselling existing packaged goods?

I’ve used Crendon insurance for a couple of years, but nothing really to compare it against. They make it straightforward though.

I’d suggest that you go through a broker. Lot’s of them available and if you play one against the other, you will get a better price overall.

I got a quote from a couple of UK insurance brokers as it was required for Amazon USA, I think my policy covers me for all platforms. I got quotes from https://realinsurance.co.uk/ and https://towerinsurancebrokers.co.uk/, since both are UK brokers and can get quotes from a variety of insurers.

I went with towerinsurancebrokers since they had the cheapest quote for the cover I needed, prices started from about £3k and they were familar with Amazon’s requirements so provided the necessary electronic documents.

I wonder if there’s any insurance for not-at-fault account deactivation

My product/circumstance was somewhat awkward to find public liability insurance for but I got my cover through One Sure Insurance, a broker who found me a decent quote via Lloyds of London which is underwritten by Nelson @ Lloyds.

I currently only sell in the UK and relatively small amounts though I can see from my policy that they can also cover trading in the USA if required.

This is always a difficult one, as will depend on many factors, including what you sell, where you sell it to, level of turnover, and stock levels.

As suggested by @NEil would recommend going through a broker - they have access to many insurance companies and have the knowledge which ones would support your business, so you get a good comparison from the majority of underwriters. They do not charge you a fee, as they get a comission from the underwriter, and very often you can get the insurance cheaper than if you went direct, and with the comfort of knowing you are covered correctly.

Use 2-3 brokers for quoting to make sure you get the best price, and when you do try an haggle it down a bit, normally you can get it down somewhere between 5-10% on what they quote initially.

I am with policy bee (broker) and backed by Hiscox, I tried about 5 brokers and about 8 companies direct i think. None would cover quite what i wanted which was specifically product liability. 20 quid off if you use this link, check the exclusions though there are a couple of categories. www.policybee.co.uk/refer/zkta-326

I read on another post that it is also a requirement to have Amazon named on the policy. In case of a UK seller account the name used should be Amazon EU Sarl. Maybe someone else can confirm this?
