Welcome to the final week of our Ask Amazon series — and we're finishing on a high note. Next Wednesday, 29th July, we're hosting aLIVE Ask Amazon Q&A where you can get your Account Health questions answered directly by the Amazon team.

Whether you're just starting out or have been selling for years, understanding your Account Health Dashboard is one of the most valuable things you can do to safeguard your business. Let's break it down.

Best Practices for Navigating Your Account Health Dashboard

Your Account Health Dashboard (AHD) is your central hub for understanding how Amazon views your account. Here's how to use it effectively:

  • Check it regularly — Make it part of your daily routine. Navigate to Performance > Account Health in Seller Central to see your current standing at a glance.
  • Understand your Account Health Rating (AHR) — The AHR is a color-coded numerical score that ranges from 0 to 1,000 and provides near real-time status of your account's health, letting you know if your selling account in a particular store is at risk of deactivation
  • Address violations promptly — When you see a notification, respond within 24 hours. The faster you act, the less impact on your account.
  • Monitor all sections — Pay attention to Product Policy Compliance, Shipping Performance, and Customer Service metrics. Each one contributes to your overall health.

📺 Seller University Resources:

Top tip: Make checking your Account Health Dashboard part of your daily routine. Addressing issues within 24 hours of receiving a notification can prevent them from escalating to account-level enforcement.

Staying Compliant with Amazon's Policies

Policy compliance isn't just about avoiding violations — it's about building a sustainable business. Here are the key areas to keep on your radar:

  1. Product authenticity & condition — Ensure your listings accurately represent what customers receive
  2. Intellectual property — Respect trade marks, copyrights, and brand protections. If you receive a violation notice, respond with a clear Plan of Action
  3. Customer reviews — Never manipulate reviews. Focus on delivering great experiences that earn organic feedback
  4. Restricted products — Verify your products aren't in restricted categories before listing

📺 Seller University Resources:

💬 LET'S TALK — Engagement Corner

We want to hear from YOU before the live event:

  • What's your number one Account Health challenge right now?
  • Have you used Account Health Assurance? What was your experience?
  • What's one habit that helps you stay on top of policy compliance?

Pop your answers below — your questions may be featured during the 29th July Ask Amazon LIVE session! The team will be reviewing submissions in advance, so the earlier you post, the better your chances of getting a direct response.

Welcome back to our How to Sell on Amazon 100 – A Learning Journey series! This is Week 2 of 4, and today we're diving into one of the most important decisions you'll make as a seller: how to get your products to customers.

If you missed Week 1, catch up here: How to Sell on Amazon 100 – A Learning Journey!

FBA vs. FBM — Understanding Your Options

Every seller's business is unique, and Amazon gives you flexibility in how you fulfil orders:

  • Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA): You send inventory to Amazon's fulfilment centres. Amazon picks, packs, dispatches, and handles customer service and returns. Your products become Prime-eligible.
  • Fulfilment by Merchant (FBM): You store inventory and dispatch directly to customers yourself. You control the entire fulfilment process and maintain your own shipping standards.

Not sure which path suits your business? These Seller University modules break it down:

  1. Choose your fulfilment method — Overview of FBA, AWD, FBM, and MCF options
  2. Is FBA right for you? — Eligibility, Revenue Calculator walkthrough, and decision checklist
  3. Intro to Fulfilment by Merchant (FBM) — Performance standards, Seller Fulfilled Prime, and setup

How FBA Works and When It Makes Sense

FBA can be transformative if you want to scale without managing logistics. Amazon handles the heavy lifting — quite literally. Here's where to learn more:

Shipping Settings & Getting Products to Customers

Once you've chosen FBA, you'll use the Send to Amazon workflow to ship inventory to fulfilment centres. Here's how to get started:

Choosing the Right Fulfilment Strategy

The best strategy depends on your product type, volume, and business goals. Use these tools to make informed decisions:

💡 Top Tip: Many successful UK sellers use a hybrid approach — FBA for fast-moving products and FBM for oversized or slow-moving items. Run the numbers with the Revenue Calculator before committing!

📚 Seller Central Resource Links (UK)

  1. Choose your fulfilment method
  2. Is FBA right for you?
  3. Intro to Fulfilment by Merchant (FBM)
  4. Send your first FBA shipment
  5. Estimate core selling and FBA fees

💬 OVER TO YOU — LET'S HEAR FROM THE COMMUNITY!

We'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and share:

  • 🤔 Are you currently using FBA, FBM, or a combination of both? What influenced your decision?
  • 💡 What's one piece of advice you'd offer a new seller about fulfilment?
  • ❓ What fulfilment questions would you like answered at our Ask Amazon LIVE event at the end of the month?
  • 👉 Submit your questions now so our team can address them during the live session!

📅 Coming Up Next: Week 3 continues our learning journey — stay tuned! And don't forget to join us for the Ask Amazon LIVE Q&A at the end of the month where you can get your fulfilment questions answered directly by the Amazon team.

Hi Sellers,

Welcome to Week 3 of our How to Sell on Amazon series! If you've been following along, you'll know we've been building your selling foundations step by step — and this week, we're tackling one of the most valuable tools available to you: Amazon Brand Registry and the brand-building features it unlocks.

Whether you've already registered a trade mark with the UK Intellectual Property Office or you're still considering it, this post will walk you through what Brand Registry offers and how to make the most of it.

📌 This is part of a 4-week series leading up to our live Ask Amazon event on July 29th. Save your spot and submit questions here: 🎓 Ask Amazon Monthly Series: How to Sell on Amazon 100 - July 29th

Why Brand Registry Matters

Brand Registry is a free programme that gives you access to powerful tools for protecting your intellectual property and enhancing your product listings. Once enrolled, you can:

  • Access A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, and your own Brand Store
  • Use Report a Violation to flag IP infringements
  • Leverage Project Zero to self-service remove counterfeit listings
  • Unlock Vine for authentic customer reviews

To enrol, you'll need a pending or registered trade mark. If you haven't started that process, Amazon's IP Accelerator can connect you with vetted legal firms to get things moving.

🎥 Seller University — Getting Started with Brand Registry:

Standing Out with A+ Content & Brand Stores

Once you're enrolled, A+ Content lets you transform your product detail pages with rich imagery, comparison charts, and brand storytelling. Premium A+ is now available to all brand owners at no additional cost — including interactive modules, video, and carousel features.

Your Brand Store acts as your own multi-page shopping destination on Amazon. You can drive external traffic to it, showcase your full catalogue, and track performance through Store Insights.

🎥 Seller University — A+ Content & Stores:

Protecting Your Brand & IP

Counterfeit products and listing hijackers are a genuine concern for UK brand owners. Brand Registry gives you access to:

  • Report a Violation — search for and report suspected IP infringements directly
  • Project Zero — self-service removal of counterfeit listings with automated protections
  • Transparency — item-level authentication using unique codes on every unit

🎥 Seller University — Brand Protection:

Bonus: Build Trust with Amazon Vine

Once enrolled in Brand Registry, you can use the Vine programme to get authentic reviews from trusted reviewers — particularly helpful when launching new products in the UK marketplace.

Hello sellers!

Welcome to the final week of our month-long Growing Your Business series — and what a journey it's been. This week, we're focusing on two topics that matter most when you're ready to take things to the next level: scaling your business and planning for long-term growth on Amazon.

Whether you've been selling for six months or six years, there comes a point where you need to step back and ask: "Am I ready to expand, and what does that actually look like?"

When and How to Scale

Scaling isn't simply about listing more products. It's about making strategic decisions — expanding into new categories, exploring Pan-EU fulfilment, or investing in advertising to increase visibility. Here are a few signals that you may be ready:

  • You're consistently selling through stock faster than expected
  • Your account health metrics are strong and stable
  • You've identified demand in adjacent categories or marketplaces

A brilliant starting point is the Growth Opportunities tool in Seller Central. It provides personalised, ASIN-level recommendations tailored to your products — helping you prioritise the actions most likely to drive meaningful results.

Boost Visibility with Advertising

If you haven't yet explored Sponsored Products, now's the time. Even a modest daily budget can help your listings appear in front of shoppers actively searching for what you sell. It's a cost-per-click model, so you only pay when someone engages.

Planning for the Long Term

Sustainable growth means thinking beyond the next quarter. Consider how seasonal events — Prime Day, Black Friday, and Prime Big Deal Days — fit into your annual strategy. Preparing early for peak periods can make a significant difference to your bottom line.

🎙️ JOIN US LIVE: Ask Amazon — Next Wednesday

This is your chance to put your growth questions directly to the Amazon team. We're hosting a live Q&A session where you can ask anything about scaling, advertising, long-term planning, and more.

💬 OVER TO YOU — LET'S TALK GROWTH

We'd love to hear from the community:

  1. What's been your biggest growth lever this year — advertising, new products, or expanding to new marketplaces?
  2. If you've scaled successfully, what's one piece of advice you'd give to a seller just starting to expand?
  3. What questions would you like answered at next Wednesday's Ask Amazon event?

Drop your thoughts below — your experience could help a fellow seller take their next step. See you in the live session! 🚀

Hi Sellers!

Whether you just opened your shop or you're still fine-tuning your first products, creating a strong listing is one of the most impactful things you can do to drive sales. Think of your product listing as your digital storefront — it's the first impression customers get, and it directly affects whether they click "Add to Basket."

We've put together this guide covering the essentials of listing creation so you can set yourself up for success from day one.

1. Optimizing Your Titles, Bullet Points, Images, and Descriptions

Your listing's core elements work together to convert browsers into buyers. Here's what to focus on:

  • Titles: Keep them at or under 75 characters. Use the Product title requirements and guidelines for help
  • Bullet Points: You get up to 5 — use them all. Start each with a capital letter, highlight a unique benefit, and keep them scannable. Avoid promotional language or pricing.
  • Images: Your main image needs a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) with the product filling at least 85% of the frame. Use a minimum of 1000 pixels to enable zoom. Add lifestyle images and infographics in your secondary slots.
  • Descriptions: Use up to 2,000 characters to describe features, usage, and what makes your product stand out. Avoid seller-specific info or promotional claims.

📚 Seller University Resources:

2. Understanding Keywords and Search Relevance

Keywords are how customers find your products. Amazon's search engine matches customer queries to the words in your listing — so choosing the right terms is critical.

  • Add relevant search terms in the Keywords tab (250 bytes max)
  • Use synonyms, abbreviations, and alternate names
  • Separate words with spaces — no punctuation needed
  • Don't repeat words already in your title or brand name
  • Skip subjective claims like "best" or "amazing"
  • Use singular OR plural — no need for both

Pro Tip: Research what top sellers in your category include in their titles and bullet points for keyword inspiration.

📚 Seller University Resources:

3. Common Listing Mistakes New Sellers Make (and How to Avoid Them)

Here are the pitfalls we see most often:

  • ❌ Missing or low-quality images → Invest in professional photos that meet Amazon's requirements
  •  Keyword stuffing in titles → Write for humans first, then optimize for search
  • ❌ Incomplete product information → Fill out every relevant attribute to avoid suppression
  •  Ignoring category Style Guides → Each category has specific title formats and requirements
  • ❌ Creating duplicate SKUs for the same ASIN → Keep your inventory clean with one SKU per product per fulfillment method

If your listing becomes inactive or suppressed, don't panic — Amazon provides tools to identify and fix the issue quickly.

📚 Seller University Resources:

💬  NOW IT'S YOUR TURN

Pick one live listing today and check it against the tips above. Even one change to your title or images can help more customers find you. Then tell us below ⬇️:

  1. What was the biggest challenge you faced when creating your first listing?
  2. What is one listing tip you wish you had known on Day 1?

COMING UP NEXT…

You've built a listing that converts — but what happens after a customer clicks "Buy"? Next week, we're covering the big decision every seller faces: how to actually get your products to your customers' doors.

We'll see you again next week, here, in the New Seller Community! 👩‍🎓

About New Seller Community

Welcome to the New Seller Community; we're excited you're here!

As a seller who has been selling on Amazon for less than two years, you can use this community to ask questions, get advice and learn from educational posts highlighting best practices and programmes available to help you sell in Amazon's store during your first 24 months. You'll be able to engage with other new sellers, a select group of helpful, experienced sellers and Amazon employees. We hope you'll become an active member by posting, commenting and sharing your experience with other new sellers. Once a seller reaches 24 months of selling on Amazon, they will be automatically removed from the group and will be provided an in-forum notification once removed.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is eligible for membership in the New Seller Community and how can I join?
Only sellers registered to sell in Amazon's store for less than 24 months are eligible to participate in the New Seller group. You will be automatically added to this group based on your eligibility. You will receive a notification before you are removed from the group.
  2. I'm new to selling in Amazon's store. Why don't I have access to this group?
We're adding new sellers to the group every few days, so there might be a short delay between the time you're approved and when you can post. If you don't yet have access, please check back in a couple of days. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit other threads in Seller Forums to ask a question or take part in a discussion.
  3. Who can contribute and post in the New Seller Community?
Only group members can post, interact or read content in the New Seller Community.
  4. Can I still post and engage in the larger Amazon seller forum after I leave the New Seller Community?
Absolutely! After you have been selling on Amazon for 24 months and you transition out of the New Seller group, you'll still be able to participate fully in the general Amazon seller forums.
  5. What is the reasoning behind this 24-month tenure?
The New Seller Community group was created to provide specialised support and resources for individuals who are new to selling with Amazon. After 24 months, we've found that most sellers have developed a solid foundation and are ready to engage beyond just the ‘new seller’ designation and even have the ability to share their experiences and guidance with others. Transitioning members out of the New Seller group at that 24-month mark allows us to keep the community focused on supporting those who are truly in the early stages of their Amazon selling journey.
  6. How do I opt out of the New Seller Community?
If you decide you don't want to be a member of the New Seller group, you may opt out here at any time. Please note that removal can take up to 7 business days.
