Account Deactivated due to Linked Account

Hi all,

I know some users have posted about issues of linked accounts but thought I’d try ask for help as I’m lost now.

I’ve had all my European accounts apart from my UK account deactivated. Reason for the deactivation was due to a linked account. I only have one account so was baffled as to how it could happen.

After doing some digging I found out the linked account belong to my sister and she had created the account on a family computer we both used.

I have no association with that account so wrote back to Amazon to say the deactivation was an error however got a auto rejected. Followed up with a POA however that got rejected also.

I’ve also got my sister to write a letter confirming I have no association with the account however that wasn’t accepted.

Me and my sister aren’t on good terms and she has no interest in cooperating with me. Pulling my hair out right now as I keep getting auto rejections and not sure what more information I can provide.

Anyone able to give some advise on what to do? I’ve even emailed the managing director but no response…

Does she use her account? Assume you both live at the same address?

I suspect you will have to get her to get it reactivated to then close it to stop it affecting yours. If you see it from amazon’s point of view, they will just see her account being deactivated and you opening one in your name for her to get round her deactivation - I don’t mean that’s what youve done just that’s how they will see it.

Is yours a sole trader account or a ltd company? Or are you just selling second hand stuff?

The only thing I can suggest is you try again with every piece of documentation you have to support the fact that she isn’t part of your company as if the only link is the IP address of a pc that might be easier to explain. Has your account ever been registered at the same address she gave?

She won’t do an appeal herself as she doesn’t have any interest in selling on Amazon.
