Account Deactivation

Hi There,

I am trying to open a new account for a new business on Amazon. The business is an Italian healthcare company that makes creams and cosmetics.

We want to sell in the UK so have registered on .co.uk

As part of the process the account was deactivated and we were asked to perform video verification to activate the account.

Amazon told us to organise the verification call via the US (.com) site.

We organised and successfully completed this call on 17th December.

However, the account is still in it’s deactivated status and I have received no email from Amazon with a report from the verification call (like the email from Amazon said I would).

We use an agency to set up and run our Amazon account. I wonder if this agency using a UK IP address is flagging some sort of security concern with Amazon?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

These two statements are mutually exclusive (unless you are the “agency”) but involving a third party would be asking for trouble, in my humble opinion.

Others may disagree.

Perhaps more importantly, has the account been set up correctly? I mean, has it been registered as a business account as opposed to an individual account? Verification of business accounts often takes quite a long time.
