I took the trouble of adding images to all my books , essentially to help buyers asses the actual condition of the book. Seems only fair to me to see what you are actually buying All these images have now gone. My description of the book has remained. Any ideas.?

Same here. Not sure if it’s just a temporary blip. In many cases, my description of the book says: ‘see photo’, which is now pointless and confusing to a potential buyer when there is no longer a photo. The images were still there when I updated my listings yesterday so this has happened in the last 24 hours. The facility to add photos is still there on the Edit page so I just hope Amazon will restore the facility quickly. I don’t want to have to add photos of my 600 items all over again.

Presumably you mean against the individual offer for a “Like New” or “Collectable” offer. Not the main listing itself? The main listing itself must be a standard format, not relating to any condition but new.
All of the images on my offers for non-new items are still there

I have an inventroy of 5000 (small compared to many book and media sellers) and I couldn’t check them all without spending hours on it.
I’ve checked around 100 random titles and all have a Product Image so far.

I have a used listing (puzzle)… the condition image still shows in Manage Inventory, but not live on amzn at the moment, but it was yesterday and for the previous days the listing was active

All images have disappeared from our listings too, but still present in Manage Inventory. Books and electronics.

All images (several hundred) are off amazon.co.uk but all still there when I check the ‘edit’ tab in my inventory. I suspect this is some sort of glitch in the system so I am currently on hold for a captive team in SS to make sure this has been kicked up the line to a very senior technical team to be investigated.
The mind boggles how this kind of thing can happen with a company as large as Amazon. Maybe the work experience person was pressing buttons they shouldn’t have been pressing this afternoon.

Amazon seem to be on peoples’ cases endlessly these days. I’ve had 100% rating for a long time but still get endless ‘issues’ to address, hoops to jump through to satisfy their algorithms and, no doubt, their artificial ‘intelligence’, for want of a better word. It’s demotivating after a while and you get fed up with it.

Maybe totally unrelated but the same thing happened about 3 years ago on eBay. I personally keep all items photos going back forever but I know peopl ewho lost their entire inventory of photos of used items. Some of them had thousands and thousands of items.
After it took some people days and others weeks or more of re-doing all the photos … eBay “found” all the pics and replaced them over the new one’s people had taken. Total waste of time and cost a fair bit of man power for some. So I’d get a definate answer from Amazon (lol I just read that back… GL with that!) before re-doing a whole load of work.

My listings are just starting to come back off holiday settings and the ‘offer images’ are now showing (where I’ve checked, that is).
