Amazon refunded over 600 orders of the same ASIN
Amazon have refunded over 600 orders, which are all the same item, within an hour. May I also note that these orders are almost 2 years old. I have contacted seller support about this and as usual am being sent from pillar to post as they are absolutely no help at all. This has resulted in over £2,500 being taken out of our account. No warnings, no explanations, nothing.
Has this every happened to anybody else? It does seem like there is an issue somewhere which probably could be fixed, however getting any help from support is really really difficult at this point.

What was the item? The kind of thing that may have had safety issues such as food? Toys? Electrical? Have you spoken to your supplier?

I can remember something similar happening with hoverboards a few years ago when buyers were refunded from the sellers funds.
I’ve only had a safety recall once and Amazon informed me that I had to contact all the buyers to arrange to get the items back. They did not refund any of the buyers, they left it with me to sort but the way Amazon is going they probably wouldn’t do that anymore.
You could try searching for the product on Google to see if there has been some issue identified with it or a similar product that could have been mistaken by the bots for it.

If you go to Account Health is there a warning under Policy Compliance for this issue? Or maybe under notifications? When I had the product recall I did get an email and I think it showed under one of the above.

How about an email to: "jeff@amazon.com" ?
- I know that he has moved on, but I assume that the email still exists
Write a concise summary of the complete situation, assuming that it will be delegated to an intelligent human in your country
Worked twice for me

I had an email to my personal account the other day about a product re-call from some superglue I bought, the bottle had been found to not be child proof. I felt for the seller, I didn’t go along with it as I’m happy with the product and no kids about.

What’s the item? I am sure other Sellers can tell you the reason by looking at your listing.

The OP is asking Amazon SS the reason why 600 orders have been refunded, I think it’s completely reasonable to expect Amazon SS to give them an answer, answering questions in this thread is irrelevant
