Amazon Vendor Growth Programme

Hi All
i received an e-mail from amazon it appears to be genuine asking me if I’m interested in joining the Amazon Vendor Growth Programme.

’ XXXX has come to our attention due to the volume of searches and queries we receive for your products on the Amazon platform. We would like to get in contact with you to discuss the possibility of starting a direct trade partnership between Amazon and XXXX in order to make your products more accessible to Amazon customers on Prime. ’

I cant actually find a lot about it on the internet, does anyone have experience of this is its worth looking at or is it just a way for amazon to sell me more advertising. I would be interested to hear from anyone on this program what does it cost etc…

Take a look at the below, it summarizes it pretty well.

You do need to be aware of the disadvantages, such as no control over pricing and pretty much giving Amazon exclusivity of your product/s.

Disadvantages also include:

60 day terms
Chargebacks
You’ve got a very short window to get orders in & get penalised if you miss it.
If they over order they won’t pay for it and just send it back to you
Vendor central isn’t great.

The advantage is you MIGHT sell more

If you go for it be mindful that once the wholesale price is agreed it will be very difficult to increase it.
