Any other Ideas on improving IPI score? Seems broken

I’m currently trying to improve my IPI score…

It has been on a steady decline from 600 to a current score of 505… It wasn’t something I paid much attention too but the last 3 weeks I’ve been really trying to fix it, so that I don’t get capped at the end of the quater.

As of today my current metrics are;

Excess inventory percentage: [ 2.59% ] - Good
FBA sell-through: [ 2.4 ] - Good
Stranded inventory percentage: [ 0.00% ] - Excellent
FBA in-stock rate: [ 36.67% ] - Poor

As you can see my ‘FBA In-Stock Rate’ seems to be the metric that is causing me the issues…

Now I’ve watched so many guides and implemented everything they’ve said but I’m just having no luck!

For context the majority of my products are ‘Hot products’ and therefore if I can get them in, more or less after there sold and go ‘OOS’ I delete the listing.

Any items that are in my intentory page but I havn’t sent in yet (3 SKU’s) aka ‘OOS’ I have as ‘Closed listing’

When i go into the more details section of this metric… initially it says ‘Restock Today - 10’… obviously if i click into this it gives you 10 items that are running out of stock… I initally Customised these sku’s to non-replenishble… but have since done that with my other 50 sku’s also… so all skus are now classed as non-replen.

I then also hid all the recommendations in this list too.Even after all this nothing seems to work!

The other metrics if I sell some excess stock for example, you can see a more or less instant impact on your metric score… this ‘In Stock Rate’ one however just doesn’t change!!!

Any other ideas? Thanks.

You are focusing in the wrong area as you are not directly penalised for the in-stock rate - so that effort won’t improve your IPI at all. Obviously you want your best selling items to be in stock, but the drop in IPI comes from the lower sell-through metric, not the in-stock metric itself
