Are toys made by brands such as Lego, Hasbro, Funko etc allowed to be sold on Amazon?

Are toys made by brands such as Lego, Hasbro, Funko etc allowed to be sold on Amazon?

Hi there! I’m currently a relatively new seller on Amazon, and am planning on making my first wholesale order with a reputable wholesaler for toys made by a few big brands such as Hasbro, Lego, Funko, Nintendo and Fisher Price.

As I am currently restricted to sell in the toys category, I want to double check whether I will be approved to sell products made by these brands after sending a wholesale invoice to Amazon, before placing my order with the wholesaler. Are these brands restricted to be sold entirely (such as products owned by Procter & Gamble Company), and/or do big toy brands require approval from themselves directly and not just Amazon.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!!

Have a wonderful day,
Alexander

A brand such as Lego probably has distribution agreements for a platform like Amazon. You’d best contact them directly and ask for a letter of permission or you risk your account being blocked.

You may not get approved for Toys regardless. I believe someone posted in the last week they had been denied by Amazon despite having an invoice. The suggestion from Amazon was that they needed a better sales history before applying again.

Thanks a lot for the replies, I’m glad I didn’t make an order yet for toys. Super grateful for the advice you both gave! Regarding making wholesale orders, what categories do you think will be best and safest to sell in terms of getting approved, since I shouldn’t do toys for now? As I’m approved in the both the Health & Beauty and Home & Kitchen category, would it be fine for me to sell wholesale, and is there anything I should watch out for before listing? Thanks

the only one I know of that you will not be able to sell, even after getting toys approval, is HASBRO. Lego and Fisher Price will be OK. No idea about Funk or Nintendo.
